On 4/4/20 at 2:34 in the afternoon, I was in the presence of the Lord in my prayer closet when I began to have a vision. I saw, flowing towards me, the most beautiful river of gold with a gold box on the left side of it. The River was flowing towards me as if directly into me. When I saw it, there was complete darkness except for this beautiful river of gold. Directly following that vision, while praying with my eyes closed, I received a holy visitation from heaven. It appeared in my small prayer closet as the brightest of white lights. So bright that it hurt my already closed eyes, causing me to close them even tighter. Once the bright light was gone, I opened my eyes to see if anything was still there. Nothing was visible, but the lasting effects were very much still lingering in the atmosphere of my prayer closet. Suddenly, I realized that I had just been in the presence of something holy, and instantly … without warning, my eyes flooded, and I began to weep. In 2020, when this happened, I had no vernacular or language to describe, let alone understand what had just taken place. Years later, the Lord showed me that during that vision and visitation, the Holy Spirit was anointing me and filling me with His glory. The gold box beside the River contained all the spiritual gifts I had so faithfully been asking Him for. As the River of Gold continues to flow today, one by one the Holy Spirit disperses those gifts as He wills. It was an absolutely incredible experience and encounter. One I will never ever forget!

The next years that followed that encounter, I would go through an intense season of refining, purifying and equipping. Like actual gold, God would meticulously burn off all of the impurities through His Refiner’s fire. “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold.” 1 Peter 1:7
